What can we learn as Miniature Painters from Frank Frazetta? A lot ... in this workshop by Roman Lappat

Last weekend I had the privilige to teach a miniature painting masterclass in tribute to Frank Frazetta. Each one of my sixteen students was invited to explore the amazing fantasy art World that Frazetta created and gifted to us.

With the use of a wide selection of cool @warhammerofficial miniatures, equipped with several huge artbooks on Frazetta's legacy, armed with paint and brush I was able to guide my students through a structured class to a free ride on analyising Frazetta's art, color mixing and paying tribute to him with these diorama vignettes. If you are a Frank Frazetta fan you will quickly recognize some of the inspiration. Thanks to my sixteen students for travelling from all over Germany for being part of this seminar. Thank you for your trust in my teachings, your continous support and a lovely weekend!

As a big fan of Frank Frazetta I can say it is a joy, a privilige and pleasure to study his amazing art: He is defenetely among my main influances and I learned tons by seeing his art as reference for my own painting since over a decade. I do own quite the Frazetta Artbook collection and while browsing it, always learn a small, humble lesson. I also love everything @warhammerofficial and in combination I came up with this special masterclass that I teach about once a year, where my students analyse, extract and learn to use observations made on Frazetta's artwork. All silverlined into a humble tribute miniature piece by every student.

Thanks to my students for joining this workshop, your will to learn from me, your support and your trust in my teaching skills.
Much fun was had and the results speak for themselves. Thank you for your fascinating art, Frank Frazetta.
